Patch 0.23.2 was a minor patch, which brought further minor Fishing changes, adjustments to Battle Box, and bug fixes.
Battle Box Adjustments
We've made a series of adjustments to Battle Box maps and kits to improve balancing and the experience of playing the game. These adjustments are as follows:
- Canal
- Flanker: removed Crossbow, added Bow.
- Trickster: removed Crossbow, added Bow; reduced Cobwebs from 6 to 5.
- Healer: removed Knockback II Wooden Axe, added Wooden Sword.
- Sharpshooter: reduced Orb of Levitation from 3 to 2, reduced Spark of Speed from 2 to 1.
- Minor map adjustments have also been made.
- Courtyard
- Replaced Tall Grass with standard Grass to make combat easier.
- Paint Factory
- Lowered the capture point.
- Mine
- Sharpshooter: reduced Spark of Speed from 2 to 1.
- Gadgeteer: removed Heavy Crossbow, added Crossbow.
- Trenches
- Trickster: reduced Cobweb from 4 to 3.
- Fixed an issue with the symmetry of the map.
Other Changes
- We've improved orb physics and visuals.
- Reworked bouncing logic to be more predictable and consistent.
- Orbs can now collide with walls multiple times and lose some momentum each time.
- Orbs now always show up as dropped items instead of transforming into a dropped item after the first collision.
- Replaced white spark particles with a consistent trail that follows all orb types and gets colored based on the effect, making it clearer what path the orb takes. The particles increase in quantity as the orb nears its explosion.
- Non-timed orbs now make noises while they are moving.
- In games containing projectiles, you can now shoot them through teammates or allied mobs.
- Death messages from potions and orbs now always state the poison/orb type used.
- Reworked Hot Potato trap/modifier in Hole in the Wall and TGTTOS.
- No longer deals knockback to nearby players.
- Ticking noise, screen outline and fire particles become more frequent and higher pitched as the potato is about to detonate.
- Uses a proper sound effect instead of bloops.
- Fixed incorrectly colored messages.
- Players that are eliminated in consecutive Battle Box rounds without rejoining now get a different death message in later rounds. Players are eliminated in multiple rounds to ensure that scoring is correct.
- Disconnected players now have a unique icon in tab and on scoreboards. The tab list now properly shows players that have completed the round and players that have disconnected instead of only eliminated players.
- The sliders in the Sound Settings menu now have different names to match how they are used on MCCI.
- The Environment/Ambient slider is now called Sound Effects as it gets used for various general sounds.
- You can no longer access fishing while on a queue penalty.
- Parkour Warrior Dojo’s background music now (re)starts when you cross the starting line instead of always playing.
- Battle Box now despawns the extra multishot arrows after they hit the ground. Only arrows that can be picked up will stay.
- Tech Items are now sorted in your Fishing Supplies menu by the time that you equipped them.
- This change was made to prevent your equipped Tech Items from jumping about when you add new ones or discard old ones.
- Item before the patch will stay at the end until they are replaced with a new item.
- Shift-right-clicking on Overclocks will change the selected perk to the previous perk.
- Modified some PW and TGTTOS obstacles that play differently in 1.21.4 due to client movement changes.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed various cases of players getting kicked for Protocol Errors.
- This error message a client received some data it did not like. If you encounter this error please send us a bug report including the report created by your client (click Open Report Directory to find it). You can attach the client bug report to the bug reporting forum directly.
- Fixed an issue that could cause fishing catches to reach the purple bar and then error.
- There may be more issues that could cause this bug, please keep reporting them if you see them!
- Added missing back button to the Crab Pots menu.
- Adjusted barrier ceilings on Hole in the Wall: Highrise and Ice Palace so they aren’t as close to the platform.
- Fixed general store not opening for some players.
- Fixed arrows desyncing between client and server when shooting through a teammate.
- Fixed cosmetic outfits menu not listing the fishing rod skin in the outfit.
- Fixed shortcut buttons in pocket menu forgetting back button context.
- Fixed back buttons in Quest Log breaking after interacting with submenus.
- Fixed back buttons displaying as exit buttons in the badges and rewards menus.
- Fixed various actions in the Quest Log not sending you back to the correct menu state (back button would go to the wrong menu).
- Fixed faction loyalty menu background around the back button.
- Fixed tab menu in games rendering rank icon over player heads.
- Fixed Reached Final Duel message in PWS not being sent.
- Fixed PWS win fireworks not playing properly.
- Fixed final duel announcement message in Parkour Warrior Survivor only showing 2 names even if more players are in the final duel.
- Fixed Trickster kit on Haunted House having Spark of Invisibility in different slots instead of one stack of 3.
- Fixed Grotto Stability boss bar not having a background.
- Fixed party glow outline being the wrong color on 1.21.3 and 1.21.4.
- Fixed various boss bar backgrounds having the wrong transparency.
- Fixed various leaves textures rendering wrong when using Fast graphics on Sodium.
- Fixed issue where Parkour Warrior Dojo navigation items could be used in challenge mode.
- Fixed VS text in Dynaball boss bar being slightly non-centered.
- Fixed potion effect traps in Hole in the Wall removing effects applied by levitation dart.
- Fixed teammate outlines and name tags remaining hidden when blindness is cleansed.
- Fixed various statistics related to getting an ace not firing correctly, particularly around players disconnecting.
- Fixed crash in Hole in the Wall that disconnected players on respawn.
- Fixed Fallen Warrior badge not triggering if you got a kill after dying.
- Fixed inaccuracy in duration fall-off of orb effects. Orbs with low duration effects will now properly have fall-off when players are not in the center of the explosion.

- Fixed Parkour Warrior Survivor background music cutting out when overtime music triggers for other players.
- Fixed rare issue where players ended up in the fishing island maps while being in the hub server.
- Fixed an issue that would prevent being able to activate your Unstable Overclock if you had an upgrade available for it that you could afford.
- Fixed being able to hear fishing catch splashes of other players when in grottos.
- Fixed an issue where you could hear other players’ fishing catch splashes and not your own.
- Fixed an issue that would let you teleport to a player whilst they are in a grotto.
- Fixed faction menu allowing you to switch to the faction you are already in.
- Fixed PvP game elimination messages having missing punctuation.
- Fixed Battle Box not showing disconnected players’ death cause as disconnection.
- Fixed orbs not applying effects to non-players properly.
- Fixed karma screen effects in TGTTOS persisting between rounds.
- Fixed karma system incorrectly resetting karma between rounds.
- Fixed red outline for final duel participants in Parkour Warrior Survivor only applying when the duel starts instead of when the players reach it.
- Fixed dynaball crates being able to land on the void at the bottom of the map.
- Fixed action bar animations playing when the action bar is not showing the crown level.
- Fixed double leap ended message in Parkour Warrior Survivor.
- Fixed players not being removed from ghost mode when the podium phase starts.
- Fixed Rocket Spleef Rush music being more quiet than other games.
- Fixed hot potato message sending before trap activation message.
