Similar to Skyblockle and the classic Minecraft mini-game Skywars, Sky Battle is a fast-paced game where the last team standing wins! Starting on your team's island, move strategically, pick up loot and defeat the other players. Be careful of that border creeping in as you make your way into the centre for the final battle.
Gameplay
Sky Battle is a team-battle royale game. Each game consists of 8 teams of 4 players, spaced equally apart from the centre of the map. The goal is to be the last team standing in each game. Throughout the game, players can find resources in chests scattered around the map, while fighting against the border and other opponents.
At the beginning of the game, each player is equipped with a stone sword, a bow with 2 arrows, coloured leather leggings and boots, and an iron chestplate. Players are also given an infinite amount of blocks and a pickaxe to help with navigation.
Players can earn Score from surviving in the game as well as eliminating opponents in the opposing teams.
Chest System
Sky Battle has a unique tiered chest system. There are five different tiers of chests, each with better loot than the previous tier.
- Tier 0 (Default) - located at each team's spawn points.
- Tier 1 (Lime) - scattered across the map.
- Tier 2 (Aqua) - scattered across the map, but in rarer places.
- Tier 3 (Purple) - located at specific intercept points, enough for a team.
- Tier 4 (Golden) - only located at the centre of the map, contains some of the best items in the game.

- Creeper Adjustments:
- Increased creeper damage to 9.5 hearts to players wearing starting armour, decreasing with better armour and/or blocks between the player and explosion.
- Increased the range at which the creeper can deal its maximum damage.
- A "Victory!" title will now be displayed when you win, replacing the old "Game Over" title.
- Changed death drops to drop slightly more spread out like in the event.
- Orbs are now disabled during the pre-game.
- Areas around the top in Celestial adjusted to make parkouring easier.
- Creeper Adjustments:
- Creeper damage reduced by 55%. The most damage a player can take with a starting armour from them is now 8.5 hearts.
- Amount of creeper eggs found in tiers 1 and 2 chests are reduced from 2 to 1.
- Added new health bars.
- Right click quick swap for armour is implemented for weapons.
- Efficient item swapping removed - instead, right-clicking any armour piece will now equip it instantly. Shift-clicking the armour will now behave like vanilla again.
- Increased amount of orbs, sparks, and potions dropped from players from 1 to 2.
- Increased amount of arrows dropper from players from 4 to 6.
- Removed cobwebs from starter chest.
- Increased likelihood of getting Orbs of Harming and Sparks of Levitation/Regeneration from chests.
- Efficient item swapping introduced - on shift clicking, gear and items will now automatically be equipped if it has a better material quality than the one currently possessed. The item that was swapped will still be in the player's inventory.
- Non-helpful items will now no longer be dropped when a player is eliminated. Only these following items will now be dropped as well as limited to some degree to prevent an overpowered amount of resources gained per each player.
- Weapons and Armour - the best quality armour and weapon. Only one of each will drop.
- Arrows - limited to 4 arrows.
- Snowballs - limited to 16 snowballs.
- TNT, Creepers, Cobwebs - limited to 2 each.
- Orbs, Sparks, Potions - limited to 1 each.
- Creeper damage has been reduced by 25%.
- Creeper eggs and cobwebs amount has been reduced.
November 8th, 2022
- You can no longer remove cosmetic hats from your head in game.
- Map Adjustments:
- Red House
- Temporary halloween decorations added for the duration of Halloween 2022.
- Added an extra building in the centre.
- Barriers around spawn are removed slightly earlier.
- Fixed an issue where the boss bar, containing time, players remaining in team, teams remaining, and player kills, stopped updated after being eliminated.
- Introduced a new map, Grasslands.
- All players now start with leather leggings and boots.
- Wooden Sword with Knockback I upgraded to Stone.

- The distance between all islands has been increased by around 4 blocks.
- Houses closer to the centre of the map have been given more structure at their base to give more options for teams not on the roofs.
- More windows in houses are open.

- In the mid-ring, berries on top of the doughnut have been flattened and platforms have been widened at the rings cupcake towers.
- The map now has a lenient floor border that will rise.
- Celestial
- The top barrier has been lowered however the roof border has also been removed.
- The player icon on the boss bar and scoreboard are now coloured based on the team colour.
- Team colour combinations tweaked to not be too similar to each other.

- Axes now downgraded to a weaker material. They will also now appear only in tier 3 or 4 chests.
- Netherite swords changed to diamond axes in the tier 4 chests.
- Ceiling and floor borders now render much denser for nearby players which makes them easier to see.
- Players now respawn at the spectator spawn point.
- Disabled fall damage for creepers.
- Changed the color of harming orbs to avoid confusion of it being a healing orb.
