Patch 0.31.3

From MCC Island Wiki
(Redirected from 0.31.3)

Patch 0.31.3 was a minor patch, which fixed many bugs, changed Questing tasks, and prepared the server for the Sky Battle Solo Open Beta Weekend.

Questing Changes

We’ve done a review of existing quest tasks and values, and made some large changes. Every game now has only three types of quest tasks (some previously had up to five), as we’ve removed some tasks we felt either were redundant, or had issues. We’ve also lowered the requirements for a few of the remaining tasks. Also attached is an image detailing all quests and their values following these changes.

Task Removals

The following quest tasks have been removed:

  • Dynaball - Wins
  • Parkour Warrior Dojo - Standard Completions
  • Battle Box - Kills
  • Rocket Spleef Rush - Direct Hits
  • Rocket Spleef Rush - Top 5 Placements
  • TGTTOS - Top 8 Rounds
  • TGTTOS - Top 5 Games

Task Rebalances

The below quest tasks have been rebalanced. The values listed below are for daily quests, weekly quests are still four times higher.

  • Parkour Warrior Dojo - Earn Medals (75 → 60)
  • Parkour Warrior Survivor - Complete Leap 4 (3 → 2)
  • Rocket Spleef Rush - Outlive Players (15 → 12)
  • HITW - Dodge Walls (80 → 60)
  • HITW - Top 5s (5 → 4)

Game XP Balancing

We've also made some balancing changes to the XP earned for games.

  • Extended Dynaball Time Survived XP from 6m max to 7m 30s, and increased the XP per minute to a flat 40 (20 every 30s).
  • Previously, you earned 350 XP for winning a Dynaball game instead of getting time survived XP. You now get both, but only +150 XP for wins. Meaning a 7m30s game you win would net 450 XP, plus any XP earned from sticks.
  • Reduced the XP earned from HITW Walls Dodged by 15-20%, but extended the max walls you can earn XP from to 30 (previously 21).
  • Changed the way XP is earned from Leap Champions in PKW Survivor. Instead of being a flat 20 XP per, it starts at 30 XP for 1, then slowly scales down, to eventually be about 15 XP per for 7.
  • Changed Sky Battle XP to now consider both eliminations and assists, with 15 XP per up to 300 XP for 20 elims/assists. Previously it was 10 XP per elimination, and assists were not tracked.

Battle Box Arena Matchmaking

At the start of Battle Box Arena ranked Season 2 we reset the internal MMR which dictates matchmaking. This will lead to your first 10ish matches in the new season feeling less balanced than before as well as RP gain feeling lower at higher ranks. After those matches, the balance will return to expected levels. This was a one-time wipe in relation to the changes we made to Rank Point gain/loss and we do not have any plans to reset MMR for the next season. This means for future seasons, the balance of matches will stay the same across season resets, and RP gain should be higher at higher ranks at the start of the season.

Miscellaneous Changes and Fixes

  • Fixed the ordering of materials on the cost of material clusters in the forge not being consistent with all other places.
  • Added the proper faction icon evolutions for levels 210, 240, 270, and 300. They’re now consistent with crown level evolutions.
  • Added ability to deselect kits in Battle Box so you can swap kits in plobbies when they are all already taken.
  • Fixed an issue with BBA XP that would cause you to not earn any XP for rounds played if the game had more than 9 rounds due to draws.
  • Fixed healer pings sometimes staying after switching kits.
  • Fixed gadgeteer not saving items properly after being revived.
  • Fixed reviving players right as they died not working correctly.
  • Fixed another issue where no kit items are given to players in Battle Box Arena when you kit break at the tick the round starts.
  • Fixed Dynaball having broken teams in plobbies.
  • Fixed Parkour Warrior: Survivor not showing placements properly anymore.
  • Fixed standard sharpshooter having incorrect items from a test kit.
  • Fixed kit descriptions on kits that changed in the previous patch.
  • Fixed rejuvenation sparks clearing levitation effects instead of hovering effects.
  • Fixed games played statistic incrementing sometimes if you did not play the game.
  • Changed major regeneration orbs size to be consistent with other orbs.
  • Changed Sky Battle to not display team assists as it’s not a useful statistic. Assists are still shown in plobbies when playing with few enough teams that we can show each player’s statistics individually.
