Patch 0.26.0 was a major patch, which brought the Island Exchange and the MCC Photobooth buildings to the lobby.
Island Exchange
With the release of Season 5, we introduced Player Trading, allowing players to trade certain cosmetics and items between each other. However, we’ve found there to be more friction in trading than expected, so have decided to release an additional way to trade, the Island Exchange.
All players can visit the Island Exchange in the lobby, to the right of the fountain, to buy and sell tradeable cosmetics and items for coins on a Central Market all players can see. Players with MCC+ can access the Island Exchange remotely through their quick access menu.
Using the Island Exchange
When you open up the Island Exchange menu, you’ll see ALL listings, from ALL players, but you can filter this down to what you’re looking for by using the 3 filter buttons.
- The Main Filter allows you to change the order of the listings shown to Recently Listed, Lowest Price, or Highest Price.
- The Type Filter allows you to select between seeing Everything, Cosmetic Tokens, MCC+ Tokens, or Other.
- The Rarity Filter allows you to select between seeing All Rarities or a specific one. This is mostly useful when looking for Cosmetics.Once you’ve found what you’re looking for, you can purchase it, and the items will be sent to your Infinibag.
Creating and Managing Listings
Clicking the Create Listing button in the Island Exchange menu allows you to choose an item from your Infinibag, select the amount of that item you want to list, and set the price in coins for that listing. Once you confirm, it will appear in the Island Exchange shortly after. The price you set is what the item will be sold for if someone chooses to purchase it. There is no bidding on items in the exchange, just buying things at their set prices.
All listings remain up for 48h or until someone purchases them. If your listing sells, you’ll receive the coins from the listing sent to your mailbox, minus a 3% Tax collected for using the Island Exchange. In the event that nobody purchases your listing within the 48h period, you’ll instead be sent the item(s) you listed back through your mailbox. By default, players can only have 1 Active Listing at a time, but this limit can be increased to 5 with ranks.
In order to cancel a listing you’ve created, you can either open the Manage Listings menu and cancel it from there, or find it in the main exchange menu that contains all listings. The items will be sent back to your infinibag.
MCC Photobooth
Opening up next door to the Island Exchange is the Photobooth! That’s right, it’s time for a brand new pool of fan skins to show off during MCC events, with a brand new way to submit your skins. By heading into the Photobooth and interacting with the camera, you’ll be able to submit your skin to have a chance to show up in the audience pool of MCC events, as well as the end of TGTTOSAWAF games. The glass cabinet next to the camera will show your currently submitted skin and username, and we might ask for fancy new skins for seasonal events like Halloween and Winter.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue that was causing the rounding of currency values in the action bar to ignore any decimal places (e.g. 1.8m would display as 2.0m).
- Fixed an issue that caused fish weights to display as squares in catch messages.
- Fixed an issue that would cause clicking on certain chat messages that perform an action (e.g. opening the Infinibag) to display an “unknown command” warning.
