Friends & parties data wipe
This patch contains major backend refactors for the friends system, party system and other miscellaneous parts of the server. As a player, you shouldn’t be noticing a difference in functionality. However, as a result of these backend changes, everyone’s friends list, ignored players list and current parties have been wiped.
Improvements
- Hovering over a shop item will now show you how much currency you have and how much currency you need to buy that item.
- Parties should be a lot more reliable now. Previous issues with e.g. the party GUI not updating until you switch lobby instances should be fixed now.
- The /ping <player> command is also more reliable now as it will function regardless of who you use it on.
Game Changes
General
- Orbs now correctly knock players back away from the orb instead of from the player that threw it
- Harming Orbs now pass through teammates
- Podium placement holograms now have a higher render distance.
- Command “/e” now acts as a shortcut for the “/emote” command. To use custom emotes type the message between “*”.
Battle Box
- You now get your last selected kit if you do not press confirm instead of a random one.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue where the second skin layer of some players would disappear when switching servers
- Fixed issue where tapping sneak causes you to sneak twice sometimes
- Fixed issue where the “clumsy trail” would leave items on the floor after being unequipped.
- We’ve released an update to our client-side mod Noxesium which reduces flickering on the walls in Hole in the Wall, you can find more information about it and the recommended client here: https://mccisland.net/threads/guide-optimized-client-for-playing-on-mcci.2943/
- We have also included a new mod in the optimized client which should specifically greatly improve performance when playing on MCC Island.
