Halloween 2023: Spooky Spirits was the fifth in-game event on MCC Island, introduced to celebrate the Halloween period. The event introduced a hub mini-game and 13 limited-time cosmetics, including 3 Mythic cosmetics.
The event also included a makeover for the lobbies and games, featuring scary decorations and various re-textures.
Haunted Hub Hunt[edit]
The event introduced a Haunted Hub Hunt - an upgraded iteration of the hub mini-game from the previous Halloween event.
Spooky Stashes[edit]
Every day throughout the event, 15 Spooky Stashes could be found in random locations around the island - totalling 210 unique locations over the whole event. Each stash could be claimed once and rewarded players with a random selection of 
Candy 
and 
Spirits 
. As well as this, finding stashes granted progress towards the 
Spooky Huntmaster Badge, which gave a total of 135 
Bonus Trophies.
Spooky Chests[edit]
Additionally, one Spooky Chest could be found in a random location on the island - totally 14 unique locations over the whole event. They could also be earnt from the Daily Legendary Halloween Quest and Spooky Chest Meter, or bought for 100 
from the Halloween Shop.
Spooky Chests contained:
- 10-30x
Green Candy - 1-5x
Blue Candy - 1-3x
Ghostly Spirit - 1x
Ancient Spirit (5% chance)
Halloween Shop[edit]
Hayseed, the friendly Scarecrow, brought a Halloween Shop, allowing players to purchase ten exclusive cosmetics and other items in exchange for their Ghostly Spirit and Candy.
The shop also allowed players to exchange 10x Green Candy for 1x Blue Candy, and purchase Spooky Chests for 100 Gems each.

The following ten cosmetics could be purchased using Ghostly Spirit, requiring a total of 180. These cosmetics were moved to the Legacy Machine once the event ended.

The Cursed Oni[edit]
The event also introduced The Cursed Oni - an NPC that will return each Halloween, willing to trade Mythic Cosmetics for Ancient Spirits.
The Oni offered the ability to use Ancient Spirit Synthesis - granting one Ancient Spirit for:
- 30x Ghostly Spirits
- 3x
Pure Quest Spirits - 1x
Epic Power Shard
He also offered Spooky Chests for 100 Gems each.
The following Mythic Cosmetics could be traded with The Cursed Oni for Ancient Spirits, requiring a total of 10:

Quests[edit]
Halloween Quest Board[edit]
Each day, five quests could be completed on the Halloween Quest Board, rewarding Candy and Spirits. Two fixed quests were found on the board every single day:
- Daily Login - Log in to the Island.
- Rewards: 3x
- Rewards: 3x
- Spooky Hunter - Loot 10 Spooky Stashes hidden around the island.
- Rewards: 5x and 1x
- Rewards: 5x
The other quests were random, each with a fixed rarity and reward:
- Rare - 5x , 1x and 1x
- Epic - 1x and 3x
- Legendary - 1x
Spooky Chest Meter[edit]
The quest board also featured a Spooky Chest Meter, which allowed for passive obtaining of 
Spooky Chests by earning Faction XP. The meter started at a base 5,000 XP with no limit, but the XP required increased by 1,000 XP every 5 claims.
