Patch 0.25.0

From MCC Island Wiki

Patch 0.25.0 was a major patch, which introduced the Infinivault, Material Gloop (previously Goop) and various balancing changes in order to polish Season 5.

Two articles were released alongside the patch notes:

Infinivault

Added the Infinivault. It can be accessed by speaking to Vaultkeeper Piper in the Scavengers Hideout, down in the King's Hoard area, or remotely via the Pocket Menu for MCC+ players.

  • You can select items from your Infinibag to store in your vault, removing them from your bag. You can send them back to your bag from this Menu at any time.
  • You can send over 1 item at a time, a whole stack, or every item of that type, in a single click!
  • You can’t store Coins, Gems, or A.N.G.L.R. Tokens in the vault.
  • Items in your vault can't be accessed by things like shops and crafting stations until they're returned to your bag.

Material Goop Rework

  • Material Goop has been replaced by Material Gloop, which is worth 1/6 as much, but is identical in use.
    • Any Goop you have will scavenge into 6 Gloop.
  • All Material Crates now have 9 Material Rolls, and 1 Gloop Roll, meaning you get some Gloop guaranteed in each crate you open.
    • You can get anywhere from 2 to 64 Gloop!
  • The value of scavenging Materials into Gloop has increased from 30% back to 50% back.
  • Material Clusters and Material Singularities now scavenge for 50% of their value in Gloop, like all other materials.
    • This means that, for example, an Epic Material Cluster scavenges for 12 Gloop, as the Epic Generic materials its made of each scavenge for 3 Gloop.
  • Scavenging your materials for Gloop has been made a lot less RNG:
    • You are now guaranteed a certain amount of Gloop when scavenging Rare or higher materials or any power shard.
    • Plus, Common to Rare materials and Common Power Shards have a chance of giving an extra Gloop as a bonus!
  • The Material Market shop has also been rebalanced to accommodate the new Gloop values.
    • Notably, we removed the Upcrafting Alternative Costs that were added in a recent patch, as the change of materials now scavenging into Gloop at 50% back makes it redundant.
  • Material Gloop can be used to skip Crafting Time just like Goop could, but instead of 30m per, it’s 10m per, as Gloop is worth 6x less.
  • You can also use the new shift-click to Bulk Skip Crafting Time, costing 6 Gloop to skip 60m in a single click!

Fusion Forge

  • When selecting a recipe in the Fusion Forge, you have a new option, Bulk Forging. This allows you to shift-click to craft 5 of a single item in the same slot.
    • Bulk Forging takes 20% longer than normal crafting, meaning the Crafting Time of a bulk recipe will be 6x what it takes to craft 1 of that item, instead of 5x.
  • Added a new Fusion Forge recipe for Arcane Cosmetic Cores, allowing you to convert 20 Mythic Cores into one Arcane Core.
  • The Exclusive Cosmetic Core recipe has also been reduced in time from 30m to 15m.

Cosmetic Scavenging

  • Your base chances of getting Mythic and Arcane Cosmetic Cores when scavenging cosmetics have been roughly doubled.
  • Now, if you have a cosmetic with maxed donations (this refers to cosmetics you’ve already received all the possible Royal Reputation from, but chose to craft and scavenge anyways), you’ll get a bonus roll on the Mythic or Arcane Cosmetic Cores when scavenging.
    • Effectively, this will double your chances of getting cores, but you could roll lucky and get 2 for the price of 1!
    • Any cosmetics that have a 100% chance of providing a core, will instead give double the cores.

Cosmetic Obtainment Agency

Suspicious Stu is now joined by two new friends, Frank and Big Cheese, who each offer their own new selections of a combined 124 Cosmetic Blueprints.

  • Frank sells all Standard Epic, Legendary, and Mythic Cosmetic Blueprints.
  • Big Cheese sells all Exclusive Legendary and Mythic Cosmetic Blueprints.
  • Biggie Stu sells the 12 Arcane Mythic Cosmetic Blueprints like before.

Each Blueprint costs a certain amount of Cosmetic Crates, the type of crate required is based on which crate the cosmetic is obtained from in the Crate Emporium shop. The blueprints have the following costs, and notably, the blueprints Suspicious Stu used to sell are now a bit cheaper:

  • Standard Epic - 8 Standard Crates (160 Standard Cores)
  • Standard Legendary - 18 Standard Crates (360 Standard Cores)
  • Standard Mythic - 2 Mythic Standard Crates (40 Mythic Cores)
  • Exclusive Legendary - 5 Exclusive Crates (100 Exclusive Cores)
  • Exclusive Mythic - 15 Exclusive Crates (300 Exclusive Cores)
  • Arcane Mythic - 2 Arcane Gate Keys (40 Arcane Cores)

This expansion allows players to target all the cosmetics that are particularly rare to get from the Cosmetic Machine and Crate Emporium, skipping the RNG, if they’re willing to pay the high cost.

Additionally, the Seasonal Variety Crate has been split into two separate crates, allowing for better agency. Two cosmetics have been bumped up in rarity to keep the amount of cosmetics of each rarity in each of these two crates consistent.

  • The Astronaut Helmet (Star Ranger) hat has been bumped from rare → epic rarity.
  • The Cosmic Visor hat has been bumped from epic → legendary rarity.

Changes

  • We have added a warning to users still playing on 1.21.1 to ask them to update to a newer version. Currently we recommend 1.21.8. We are starting this process now as the next major update will drop support for 1.21.1 due to it lacking new features we intend to use in an upcoming update. In general, we recommend all users update to 1.21.8 if they are still using an older version!
  • Removed Common and Uncommon materials as possible rewards from Legendary and Mythic reward crates.
  • Reduced the amount of XP required for Weekly Vault claims.
  • This will take effect from next week.
  • Tweaked Dynaball block drops to decrease how many blocks are dropped later in the game. Drop chances are reduced starting at 3 minutes.
  • Blocks in Dynaball with a higher blast resistance now all have a blast resistance of 2 to allow maps to be built out of a greater variety of blocks without affecting explosion effects.
  • Clicking on the Info tooltip on the Style or Fishing Perks menus will toggle displaying the level of each perk using the stack size of each item. This will make it easier to share your levels with other players when taking screenshots!
  • Royal Donations data displayed on Blueprints is now also displayed on Blueprints sold from shops.
  • You can now Shift-Click an item in the Scavenger menu to remove it from the staging area.
  • The sound played when a fishing spot has depleted has been changed to be easier to identify. We’ve also increased the volume the sound plays at.
  • The XP bonus indicator glyph has been re-added, and also now displays if you have a 20%, 30%, or 50% bonus depending on if you have a Rank and/or MCC+.
  • The "Default to Team Chat” setting has changed to only switch you to Team Chat if you are currently in Local Chat.
  • Hair is now included when viewing all Hat cosmetics from the Profile Menu.
  • Mailbox messages with more than 5 items will now only show the first 5 in the tooltip preview.
  • Using message to send a message as an emote will now only work if you are chatting in the local chat channel.
  • Upgrading Style Perks or changing your Favourite Game settings will now take effect immediately on your next quest rather than waiting until the next rotation for that quest type.
  • The Frog Sanctuary has been blessed with magical powers.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a caching issue with the Mailbox.
This would cause messages to sometimes not appear unless you switch lobbies, or would cause the mailbox to contain unclaimable ghost messages.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the display for Grand Auctions not to update.
  • Fixed fire not being extinguishable in Dynaball during the peace phase with certain items.
  • Fixed Spawner Smasher counting spawners destroyed on the opposite team’s side.

  • Fixed instantly primed TNT making a stone block placement noise instead of a TNT placement noise.
  • Fixed block drop rate not decreasing with time on some Dynaball maps.
  • Fixed crates in Dynaball not spawning anymore after 9 minutes, now they keep going until TNT time for TNT crates or until 15 minutes for item crates.
  • Fixed an issue where having a pending premium Battle Pass reward would make your Battle Pass flash but not take you to the reward you need to claim.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing some Style Trophies awarded from Royal Reputation to not be counting for some players.
  • Fixed another issue that was causing the Blueprint Assembler to not open for some players.
  • Fixed the Cosmic Wings cosmetic showing the incorrect model when sneaking.
  • The Journal is now opened with /quest rather than /quest open. You can still use /journal as well.
  • Fixed an issue where your favourite game choice was not applying to your quests correctly.
  • Fixed an issue that would refresh your quests when upgrading style perks.
