Patch 0.33.3

From MCC Island Wiki

Patch 0.33.3 was a minor patch, which introduced new party restrictions to Battle Box Arena, and fixed many bugs.

Battle Box Arena

Party Changes

  • Added party restrictions to Battle Box Arena.
  • If your party of 3 or 4 contains 1 or more players who are Platinum Rank or higher, the restriction will come into effect, and that party will be unable to queue for BBA Ranked games together.
  • Duos and plobbies will be unaffected by this change.
  • This restriction is removed during the off-season period.

New Map: Platform

A new Battle Box map for Arena, focused on defensive playstyles and flanking. Take care traversing the map, ranged attackers provide great pressure across the centre bridge and capture point, but can be prone to flanking opportunities.

Kit Adjustments

  • Standard Flanker - Buff
    • This kit is slightly underperforming so we are are giving it an orb of cleansing, the orb of cleansing has a relatively quick recovery time with the flanker passive so this kit can use multiple cleansing orbs throughout a round.
  • Opportune Sharpshooter - Buff
    • This kit is slightly underperforming so to give it more flexibility we are giving it an extra hovering orb.
  • Opportune Flanker- Buff
    • This kit is underperforming so we are giving the bow a punch enchantment, this will help the kit keep it’s distance and land more ranged attacks to recover the orbs with the flanker passive. We are also increasing it’s arrow count by 2 giving the kit slightly more flexibility in its use of arrows.
  • Bastion Flanker- Buff
    • This kit is underperforming so we giving it a quick timed orb of blindness to give the kit more offensive debuff options.
  • Bastion Gadgeteer - Buff
    • This kit is underperforming so we are increasing it’s arrow count by 2 and giving it an orb of bright harming. The orb gives the kit new options for offensive plays and can be used after the detector bottle detonates to deal more burst damage.
  • Launch Gadgeteer - Buff
    • This kit is underperforming so we are giving it an extra spark of knockback to improve it’s mobility.
  • Seek Sharpshooter - Nerf
    • This kit is overperforming so we are reducing its arrow count by 4. Most of the kit's power comes from strength of combo-ing the bright harming seek orbs with the sharpshooter passive, this change will make the kit have much less power after performing the combo.
  • TNT Trickster - Nerf
    • This kit is overperforming so we are reducing it’s TNT by 1 and replacing an invisibility spark with a spark of speed. Since the addition of the TNT ranger in Gold Mine Unboxed, there has been particular power in your team kit breaking into multiple TNT kits, reducing the TNT in this kit will help decrease the power of that strategy.
  • TNT Ranger - Nerf
    • This kit is overperforming so we are reducing it’s arrow count by 2 and removing its spark of levitation, the reduction in mobility will give more of an opportunity for enemies to target this kit.
  • Rebound Healer - Nerf
    • This kit is overperforming so we are reducing it’s arrow count by 2 and removing the speed spark, the reduction in mobility will give more of an opportunity for enemies to target this kit.
  • Flight Flanker - Nerf
    • This kit is slightly overperforming particularly on Classic Unboxed so we are reducing it’s arrow count by 2.
  • Launch Hero - Nerf
    • This kit is slightly overperforming particularly on Classic Unboxed so we are reducing it’s arrow count by 2.
  • Jumpscare Spectre - Nerf
    • This kit is overperforming, with little room in the kit to rebalance it we have decided to replace the hovering spark with a spark of jump boost, this will give somewhat similar self mobility but remove the potential of debuffing the enemy with hovering, which could be used to set up an easy elimination.
  • Bastion Spectre - Nerf
    • This kit is overperforming so we are reducing it’s arrow count by 2. At this moment we’d rather keep the two detector bottles here so the kit stays as a great option to bolster a defense.

Off-Season System

  • Added a new off-season system to Battle Box Arena, which is a two-week period between ranked seasons where all maps are available to queue, no rank points can be earned, and there are no restrictions on parties.

Plobbies

  • Maps not currently available in public queues are now available in plobbies! This includes the following maps:
    • Hole in the Wall
      • Beach (Halloween)
      • Medieval (Halloween)
      • Beach (Winter)

        • Fusion Core
        • Cherry Blossom
        • Cargo
        • Street
        • Gold Mine Unboxed
    • Battle Box Arena kit breaker options use the active rotation, if the current map is not in the rotation its kit is now added to the list of kit breakers. A plobby setting will be added in the future to customise this behavior.

Changes

  • Added a new ranked perk setting: Reveal Disguise After Game
    • This allows users to re-enable the old disguise behavior from before Patch 0.33.0. When enabled your disguise will be revealed when a game ends. This setting will be off by default.
  • Removing your disguise while in the post-game now removes the active disguise.
  • The block color in solo games is now randomised for disguised players.
  • Spamming melee attacks in Rocket Spleef Rush no longer deals large amounts of elytra damage.
  • Disconnect queue penalties now apply less frequently for briefly disconnecting in multiple games.
  • Disabled /inspect in the post-game to prevent disguises getting leaked.
  • Reworked the internals of our game server allocation system, which will improve reliability and prevent problems that occurred during the first week of Twilight Trials from happening again in the future.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed client mods using Noxesium breaking after visiting limbo.
  • Fixed hitting teammates triggering getting downed in Twilight Trials.
  • Fixed Ranger ability not working in Twilight Trials.

  • Fixed bulk-equipped A.N.G.L.R. Stock Replenishers incorrectly saying that it’s run out of uses in chat on every use.
