Pearl

Pearls are a rare item that can be caught while Fishing on any island. They can be used to upgrade perks and purchase certain equipment. There are three types of pearls, with the higher rarity pearls being increasingly rarer.

  • Rough Pearl -
  • Polished Pearl -
  • Pristine Pearl -

Obtaining

The chance to catch a pearl can be increased by multiple factors:

  • Glimmering Tide Active on any island
  • Glimmering Winds Active on any climate
  • Fishing Spot with the Pearl Chance buff

Players can also trade in their existing pearls to either upgrade or at the A.N.G.L.R. Artisan NPC:

Style Guide Draft

Thank you for expressing interest in contributing to the MCC Island Wiki! To keep all pages consistent, please read the following style guide and make sure you keep these guidelines in mind when contributing. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask our administrators in the Discord.

Home Page

Visit: Home

We only usually update the home page if there is a new patch, season, or event. If there is a valid reason to change the home page, please ask the administrators to change it (as they are the only users permitted to edit the Home page) with an official message/post from a Noxcrew member.

Editing and Writing Pages

When writing pages, keep in mind what you are writing will be visible to anyone that has access to the internet. Anything you write may be changed or rewritten at any time with or without warning. Make sure your language is straightforward and comprehensible to anyone. Try not to repeat phrases and sentences.

Every time a patch is released, ensure relevant pages are updated so the information is the most accurate to in-game.

Page Names

When creating a page, make sure its name is clear and concise. For example, cosmetic page names should have the cosmetic's name, patch pages "Patch 0.xx.x". If you are creating an NPC page, use the nametag in-game rather than the name in the GUI.

Page Structure

The structure in pages is very important. The beginning of the article should always give a short description of the topic, and should not usually be more than 5 sentences. The order of all pages should generally follow this order:

  1. Notices
  2. Descriptions (e.g. the short "quotes" in the cosmetic tooltips)
  3. Infoboxes
  4. Introduction that includes a short description
  5. Main page content
    1. For game pages:
      1. Official Description
      2. Gameplay
      3. Experience Table
      4. Maps (if applicable)
      5. Badges (if applicable)
      6. Game Passes (if applicable)
      7. Plobby Settings (if applicable)
  6. Update History

Spelling

Unless otherwise stated, use American English. Noxcrew is a company in the United Kingdom, so official statements will generally use British spelling. The following list are examples how American and British spellings differ:

  • Color / Colour
  • Center / Centre
  • Organize / Organise
  • Defense / Defence
  • Traveling / Travelling
  • Learned / Learnt
