The Mastery Gate is a portal on MCC Island where players can use their Mastery Keys to spin for a random Mythic Cosmetic. It is located in the central area of the MCC Island hub, between all the game portals.
It was introduced in Patch 0.8.0, but was not usable until Patch 0.13.0.
Usage
The Mastery Gate opens a temporary connection to some of the Island's finest cosmetics. Collect and input a Mastery Key to spin for a random Mythic Cosmetic!
The Mastery Gate can be opened by using a Mastery Key in the Mastery Gate's menu, which can be accessed by right clicking the gate.
Upon doing so, a message is sent in the chat, announcing to all players in the instance that the player is opening the Mastery Gate. The message also allows them to click to teleport in order to watch.
The Mastery Gate opens and gives the player a random Mythic cosmetic through a 30-second animation, which features music that can be heard by any player in the gate's vicinity. At the end of the animation, a message in chat is sent to players near the gate, announcing which cosmetic was obtained by the player who opened it.
Unlike the Seasonal and Legacy Machines, the Mastery Gate can give a player a Mythic Cosmetic that they have already received from it.

List of Possible Cosmetics
There are currently 12 different Mythic Cosmetics that can be obtained from the Mastery Gate. The 12 cosmetics are divided into four themes, containing one Hat, one Accessory and one Cloak.
